1) Turn Signal/Headlamp Control Lever

Includes the following controls:

First Stop-Turning the knob to the first stop will turn on the license plate lamps, parking side marker lamps, tail lamps, and instrument panel lamps.
Second Stop-Turning the knob to the second stop will turn on the headlamps, tail lamps, and instrument panel lamps.

2) Steering Wheel/Drivers Airbag

The steering wheel incorporates the driver's side air bag, as well as the Speed Control System buttons and the horn. To operate the horn, press on either side of the steering wheel face.

3) Hazard Warning Switch

To alert other drivers to hazardous situations, press the Hazard Warning Switch on the top of the steering column down. All the turn signals will flash repeatedly at the same time. The flashers will also operate while the brake pedal is applied. The flashers will work whether your car is running or not. The flashers will work for up to two hours when the battery is fully charged and in good condition. They will not drain the battery excessively. If the flashers run for longer than two hours while the engine is not running, or if your battery is not fully charged, your battery could be drained.

4) Windshield Wiper/Washer Control Lever

To operate the windshield wipers and washers, the ignition key must be in the ON position.

5) Center Console Air Vents

Air is directed through these vents when the Function Selector on the Climate Control System is switched to VENT.

6) Passenger Air Bag (1994-1997 Vehicles Only)

The Supplemental Restraint System air bag for the right front passenger.

7) Passenger Side Upper Air Vent

Air is directed through this vent when the Function Selector on the Climate Control System is switched to VENT.

8) Glove Compartment

The Glove Compartment is a lockable storage area. Pull the latch to open the compartment. To lock the Glove Compartment, insert the vehicle's ignition key into the compartment's key cylinder and rotate clockwise. To unlock the Glove Compartment, insert the vehicle's ignition key and rotate counter-clockwise.

9) Parking Brake Handle

The parking brake is used to offer additional braking support while the vehicle is parked. It can also be used to make an emergency stop if the standard brake system fails to operate. To set the parking brake, put your foot on the brake pedal while pulling the Parking Brake Handle fully and firmly upward. When the parking brake is applied, the Brake System Light on the Analog Instrument Cluster will illuminate. To release the parking brake, lift up slightly on the Parking Brake Handle then press and hold down the button at the end of the handle. Move the handle to the fully lowered position.

10) Hood Release

Pull to open the hood.

11) Tilt Steering Release Lever (If Equipped)

Allows adjustment of the steering column. To adjust the position of the steering column either up or down, pull the Tilt Steering Release Lever down to unlock the column. Move the steering column up or down until it's at a suitable position. Push the Tilt Steering Release Lever back up to lock the column in place.

12) Instrument Panel Dimmer Control

With the parking lamps or headlamps on, the brightness of the instrument panel lighting can be adjusted. To brighten the instrument panel, spin the dimmer control wheel to the right. To dim, spin the dimmer control wheel to the left.

13) Power Window/Mirror/Door Lock Control Switches (If Equipped)

Includes control switches for both power windows, both power mirrors, and the power door locks.
  • Power Windows: The driver side power window control unit offers access to both the driver side window and the passenger side window. To use the power windows, the ignition must be turned to the ON position. To lower a window press the down side (depressed end) of either the left or right power window rocker switch for the driver side window (left) or passenger side window (right). To raise a window press the upper side (raised end) of either the left or right power window rocker switch for the driver side window (left) or passenger side window (right). Note: The vehicle is equipped with a One-Touch Down feature. This features allows you to fully open the driver side or passenger side window by firmly pressing down the depressed end of either the left or right power window rocker switch then releasing. The switch will release when the window has fully opened.
  • Power Mirrors: To adjust either the driver side mirror (left) or passenger side mirror (right), move the selector switch to either the L or R position, then push the control switch in the direction you want to move the mirror. Return the selector switch to the middle OFF position to keep the mirror in place.
  • Power Door Locks: To unlock both doors, press down on the U side (left, depressed end) of the power door lock rocker switch. To lock both doors, press down on the L side (right, raised end) of the power door lock rocker switch. 

14) Driver Side Upper Air Vent

Air is directed through this vent when the Function Selector on the Climate Control System is switched to VENT.
