Analog Instrument Cluster

 

 

1) Speedometer

Shows vehicle speed in miles per hour on the outer ring and kilometers per hour on the inner ring. Four cylinder models will read up to 120 miles per hour, while V-6 models will read up to 140 miles per hour. The speedometer incorporates two counters for measuring distance. The upper counter is the odometer which indicates the total distance the vehicle has been driven. The lower counter is the trip odometer which is used to measure shorter trips. Press the Trip Odometer Reset Button (10) to reset the Trip Odometer to zero.

2) High Beam Indicator

Indicates when the head lamps have been switched to high beams. To engage the high beams, push the Turn Signal/Headlamp Lever forward. Pull back again to switch the high beams off.

3) Tachometer

Measures engine speed in thousands of revolutions per minute (RPM). Each line represents 250 RPM. Four cylinder models will show a redline of 6,500 RPM, while V-6 models will redline at 7,000 RPM.

4) Engine Oil Pressure Gauge

Indicates engine oil pressure.

5) Battery Voltage Gauge

Indicates the battery voltage.

6) Door Ajar Indicator

If equipped, indicates that either door or the hatchback is not securely closed.

7) Right Turn Signal Indicator

Indicates when the right turn signal has been engaged. To engage the right turn signal, push up on the Turn Signal/Headlamp Lever (Interior).

10) Trip Odometer Reset Button

Used to reset the Trip Odometer on the Speedometer (4) to zero.

11) Left Turn Signal Indicator

Indicates when the left turn signal has been engaged. To engage the left turn signal, push down on the Turn Signal/Headlamp Lever (Interior).

12) Low Fuel Indicator

If equipped, indicates that the fuel level in the fuel tank has reached 2-3 gallons (7-10 liters).

13) Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge

Indicates the engine coolant temperature when the ignition key is in the 'ACC' or 'ON' position. If the dial reaches the red line, the engine is overheating.

14) Fuel Level Gauge

Indicates the level of fuel in the fuel tank. The reading may fluctuate while the vehicle is in motion. This is the result of fuel movement within the tank. To get a more accurate reading, make sure the vehicle is on a smooth and level ground.
