1) Interior Lamp
- Illuminates depending on the
selection of the Interior Lamp Control Switch (2).
2) Interior Lamp Control Switch
- The Interior Lamp Control Switch
controls the Interior Lamp with three modes:
- Normal: The middle position
turns the Interior Lamp (1) on only when the doors are opened.
- ON: The Interior Lamp (1) is
on at all times.
- OFF: The Interior Lamp (1) is
off at all times.
3) Passenger Side Map Light
- Illuminates to the passenger side of
the vehicle. Press once to turn on, press again to turn off.
4) Service Interval Reset Button
(If Equipped)
- The Service Check indicator will
illuminate on the Vehicle Maintenance Monitor (5) to remind you of scheduled
maintenance. If scheduled maintenance has been performed, then this message
may be cancelled. To cancel the service check and reset the service interval
message, depress the small Service Interval Reset Button. The
Service Check indicator will illuminate again 7,500 miles (12,000
kilometers) from reset.
5) Vehicle Maintenance Monitor (If Equipped)
- The Vehicle Maintenance Monitor alerts
the driver to the following conditions:
- Low Oil: (1989) Indicates that
the engine oil level is low.
- Low Fuel: Indicates that the
fuel level is below 1-2 gallons (4-8 liters).
- Coolant: Indicates that the
engine coolant level is low.
- Service: This will illuminate
approximately every 7,500 miles (12,000 kilometers) to indicate that it
is time for your vehicle to receive routine maintenance. After 7,500 miles
(12,000 kilometers), the indication will appear for three minutes every
time the vehicle is started. To cancel the message and reset the service
interval, press the Service Interval Reset Button (4).
- Washer: Indicates that the windshield
washer fluid level is low.
- Door Ajar: (1989) Indicates
that either door or the rear hatch is not securely closed.
- Door Ajar: (1990-92) Indicates
that either door is not securely closed.
- Deck Ajar: (1990-92) Indicates
that the rear hatch is not securely closed.
- Tail Lamp: Indicates that a
tail lamp is burned out when they are activated. The tail lamps are activated
when the headlamps are in the low beam, high beam, or park mode.
- Stop Lamp: Indicates that a
stop lamp is burned out when they are activated.
- Headlamp: Indicates that a headlamp
is burned out when the low beams are activated.
6) Driver Side Map Light
- Illuminates to the driver side of the vehicle. Press once to turn on, press again to turn off.
