Electronic Instrument Cluster

1) Speedometer
Shows vehicle speed in miles per hour or kilometers per hour. To select mode, press the M/KM button on the Trip Computer Keyboard. The mode selected will be displayed on the English/Metric Mode Indicator (10). In miles per hour mode, it will display a maximum of 85 miles per hour. At or above 85 miles per hour the display will blink repeatedly.

- Manual Shift Indicator (Automatic Transmission Only): Illuminates when Manual Shift Mode is selected. To select whether Manual Shift Mode is on or off, press the Manual Shift button on the Automatic Gear Selector. If the Manual Shift indicator flashes, it signifies that the transaxle is low on fluid or that there is an electrical problem in the transaxle.
- Power Mode Indicator (1989 Vehicles with Automatic Transmission Only): Illuminates when Power Mode is selected for the transmission and goes out when Normal Mode is selected. To select between Power Mode and Normal Mode, press the Shift Mode Switch to the right of the Automatic Gear Selector to either 'POWER' or 'NORM'.
- Brake System Light: Illuminates when the Parking Brake (Interior) is engaged. If the Brake System Indicator stays on when the Parking Brake has been fully released, it signifies that the master cylinder reservoir is low on brake fluid.
- Anti-Lock Brake System Light (Vehicles with ABS Only): Illuminates briefly when the ignition key is turned to 'ON'. If the light flashes it signifies that there is a malfunction in the anti-lock brake system.
- Safety Belt Light: This warning light reminds you to fasten your safety belt. Each time you turn the ignition key 'ON', the Safety Belt Light will illuminate for 4 to 8 seconds. On 1990 through 1992 vehicles, the light also illuminates to alert the driver that the automatic shoulder belt is not latched to the emergency release buckle and will remain illuminated until both shoulder belts are buckled.
- Check Engine Light: Illuminates briefly when the ignition key is turned to 'ON'. If the light remains illuminated it signifies that the electronic engine control system is not functioning properly.

- Systems Normal: Indicates no problems are detected.
- Door Ajar: Indicates that either door is not securely closed.
- Deck Lid Ajar: Indicates that the deck lid is not securely closed.
- Low Engine Oil Level: Indicates that the engine oil level is low.
- Low Coolant Level: Indicates that the engine coolant level is low.
- Low Fuel Level: Indicates that the fuel gauge is reading three bars or less.
- Headlamp Out: Indicates that a headlamp is burned out when the low beams are activated.
- Tail Lamp Out: Indicates that a tail lamp is burned out when they are activated. The tail lamps are activated when the headlamps are in the low beam, high beam, or park mode.
- Stop Lamp Out: Indicates that a stop lamp is burned out when they are activated.
- Washer Fluid: Indicates that the windshield washer fluid level is low. If the washer fluid reservoir is filled while the engine is running, a slight delay will occur before the message is canceled.
- Service Interval Check: This will appear approximately every 7,500 miles (12,000 kilometers) to indicate that it is time for your vehicle to receive routine maintenance. After 7,500 miles (12,000 kilometers), the indication will appear for three minutes every time the vehicle is started. To cancel the message and reset the service interval, press and hold the SERV button on the Trip Computer Keyboard until three tones are sounded.
- Speed Alarm: Indicates that the Speed Alarm has been set and the vehicle speed has exceeded the set speed limit. This will remain displayed until either the vehicle speed is reduced below the set speed limit or the ALARM button on the Trip Computer Keyboard is pressed.
