Vehicle Identification Number  
Overview All U.S. vehicles have a 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number which is basically a serial number for the car. The VIN can be decoded to reveal certain information about the vehicle. The following pertains to Ford Probes.

The VIN can be found at three locations:
  • On the driver's side of the dashboard, where the windshield meets the cowl.
  • On the passenger side of the firewall.
  • On the engine block.
