Between 1979 and 1985 Ford would introduce five Probe concept cars that displayed features such as extreme aerodynamics, wrap-around glass, and flip-up headlamps. In 1988, Ford gave the Probe badge to a new production car that featured many of the concepts that the concept line first featured.
