Default klg4 intake on a klde

will it work and if so do I need to do anything to it to make it work more efficently.

Direct Bolt on. Swap on a millenia TB for a direct swap, or you will need to slightly modify your factory tb. While its off port it out.

And before strandedviper says it, throw some IM spacers on. lol.

Gotcha how much should I port out the throttle body and how big of a spacer should I put in it. How much horsepower can I expect out of this? I already installed an ecu purchased from extreme thing set up for this intake.

you are not boring the TB...you are just coning it and hourglassing the butterfly shaft. There is info on the xtremethings site about doing it..take a little time with a dremel/grinder.

With the IM and TB mods you should be able to see 10whp, possibly more..we saw almost 20whp on a cammed DE..granted that G4 IM was ported in the neck area..

what do you mean by hour glassing the butterfly shaft and coning the throttlebody? could you maybe send me some pictures of what your talking about.

hourglassing the TB means:

Make the shaft of the butterfly look like an hourglass..you are essentially making the butterfly shaft less obstructive to airflow..

I just did this setup, except I used a Millenia TB too. Everything's direct bold on, except the vacuum lines are a little different.

Lol you're right, if I knew how to eliminate them I would! And well still make power and pass emissions lol.

Also, to the thread creator, don't forget to block off the nipple on the #5 runner that looks like a vacuum source, because it's not. And make sure you have some spare hoses and clamps.
On my swap, my PCV valve hose didn't reach the new manifold, so you might need one of those too. I recommend replacing the rear valve cover gasket as well... Along with the IM gasket too. If I think of anything else I'll let you know

Only lines you REALLY need are for the fpr, and the cruise IF you have it.

that cant be accurate. if that would be the case, wouldnt everybody be eliminating the vacuum lines?

After eliminating VRIS and cruise (among other things), there isn't that much left really.

On a OBD1 car...lol


OBD2 cars still have a lot left...but yeah, all of the other stuff doesn't really take away from the functionality of the car. Heck, I don't even have a vacuum line to my AFPR, lol. MS FTMFW.
