89 GT EGR and Vacuum Chamber
so I need a known good EGR valve and I need a vacuum chamber.
Apparently when I had the intake mani off the head, I broke off the nipple for the bottom blue vac line, which is what was causing my vac problems.
I did try coupling the two lines that were connected to the chamber, but it seems to have not fixed my EGR code. So I wanna give a try to replacing the EGR and that vacuum chamber, assuming its more then just a big fancy coupler.
if you need reference to what I'm talking about, its this chamber:
it sits above the EGR valve with a black line to the top, blue line out the bottom.
if anybody could hook me up with these I would greatly appreciate it.

i have that stuff. you prolly just need to clean the egr valve (not replace it).

as I said in my project thread, its totally spotless.
used almost half a can of carb cleaner on the damn thing and it moves freely and doesnt leak, but i still am getting CEL's.

Shouldn't you disconnect the battery for a certain amount of time to clear the cel?

I did, doesnt stop it from reappearing while driving though.
the CEL only shows up above 2000 rpm or so when the EGR should be working.
the engine starts to think it isnt for some reason and throws the code.
it will go away if I let off the gas, then come back if I get back on it.
sometimes it wont be there and then just show up while cruising. Dont quite know what to think of it.
but code 16 is the only one its throwing.

I had an egr that looked great and did the same thing i replaced it and never had a problem again

update-7-15-10-* 3.5" drop & some suspension bits...Zombie chip...mbc...17" slicks...GT Auto tb... Fully hardpiped with 2" aluminum... greddy rs bov... aem fpr... got my 2.5" exhaust completely back together (no cat).... fitted a petcock drain to the bottom of my stock fmic.. had to rebuild motor last year so i fitted a used set of wiesco na pistons with chro-moly rings... contemplating gutting interior???.. Also went to gateway international speedway and ran a 13.64 @ 104mph on 14 psi and 4gal. of 113 race fuel mixed with 5gal mobil 93 fuel and all the above mentioned parts.

EGR and vacuum chamber arrived today.
Installed and the car is running AMAZING. Thank you so much to Nunks for the parts and quick shipping.
ill be making an update to my project thread reporting engine work is 100% complete.
